They have been a lil more Hollywood then before and this type
of attention could play a negative part with Pacquiao just
because it sounds like their doing too much promotional and
appearance wise. I'm watching 24/7 and whenever you see
Manny & Roach there are always distractions but with Hatton
and Floyd it is only a circle of people that play important roles
in Ricky's preparations. Roach had to hire Michael Moore but
Roach still feels like he can handle things himself? Roach has
to shut down the Gym for 3 hours everyday for Manny to get
some privacy because Manny's been performing for the fans
more than for Roach? Everything is about Manny and his new
found fame and Hatton is on the low. No one knows how or
what he is doing in training with his sparring partners because
everything seems to be confidential. Anyways can't wait for
the fight in a few weeks! Should be GREAT.
Personally I see Hatton having trouble the first 2-3 rounds coping with Manny's speed, but it's all Hatton from there. I see Hatton with his excellent talent(perhaps one of the best in the business as of today's fighters) of cutting off the ring combined with his nonstop pressure taking Manny out in 6 via pinning him up on the ropes and blasting him with the left hook to the body. How do you see it Grustler?

Manny and Roach have let the hype reach epic proportions from the Oscar victory, and I believe this is going to be detrimental for this fight. After watching this week's 24/7 it reminded me quite a bit of where Rocky Balboa is training for his Clubber Lang fight in a ritzy gym and a bunch of Yes Men and press are praising him, all the while Mickey is telling him he's losing his roots of what made him a champion. Too many distractions and expectations are never a good thing, and in contrast with Hatton's camp it is night and day.

I said the same thing when the promotion of the fight began to grow
wings. Plus some key things that Freddie Roach said and certain things
he recanted on. That's the thing right there and you nailed it on the
nose. If Hatton can neutralize Manny's speed by cutting off the ring
and moving his head while working the jab to avoid that straight left
& get up in Manny's comfort zone then Manny is done. Even Arum
said that Manny has the speed factor on his side and if he falls into
Hattons game plan or if Hatton can get around Manny's speed
then it's all Hatton.
That's why Hatton's been having bruises under his eyes and sparring
with left hand fighters because their working on him being able to get
around Pacquiao's best lead punch. Manny is very fast but Hatton is
not a slow fighter by no means and come fight night I don't think it will
be that noticable like it was with Diaz/De La Hoya. Roach needs
help and Floyd Sr has everything under control. Manny is punishing
sparring partners but whatever. Manny hasn't been tested by a prime,
elite fighter above 130, Marquez was his last real test & it was very
close if not debatable on who really won and Ricky is a strong, game
fighter. This fight come May 2nd is going to boil down to a power
struggle and who has the biggest punch at 140, speed will not be an
issue because Pac is going to brawl with Hatton TRUST.

One, a top level fighter who backs Manny up and has him on the back foot similar to what Erik Morales did in their first fight has a distinct advantage. Manny relies on his lunging forward to press his attack, and to date I haven't seen a fight to where he fought well on the back foot. Secondly Manny isn't known to take a body punch well. If someone like Marquez can effect him, Hatton most definitely can as he is a brutal and devastating body puncher. I anticipate a great fight either way as their styles are made for one another, and if Hatton loses it will be on cuts in my opinion. Hatton's face is known unfortunately to shred like a cat playing with ribbon.

Roach is overly confident of a Manny "short and sweet" victory because he can see and feel how much Pacman is so much better today than when he fought De La Hoya.
Bad time for Ricky to be fighting the best at his utmost best.
