Why does Emanuel Steward hate Mayweather so much?

Yea well there was actually a rumor a few years back that Floyd trained with Manny at the Kronk and Floyd didn't like the set up which i suppose disrespected Manny. Hes basically bitter if this is true.

he hugged mayweather after his win over hatton, none of the other commentators did only stewart.

Maybe because Stewart has got a bit of a soft spot for Hatton. Ricky did some training with him and Hearns back when he was starting out as a professional - Manny was extremley impressed with him. There's a nice story that Ricky spoke of at the time where he asked Ronald if it was ok to use the name ''Hitman'' and Hearns said basically '' go ahead kid - good luck etc''
Also, a couple of years ago there was a possibility that Ricky was going to ditch Billy Graham in favour Manny but odviously it didnt go ahead.

Why ignore all the positive comments Manny had to say about Floyd?

Its possible Manny, like Merchant and many boxing fans find that the truly great fighters go all out for the win, and arent so defensivly minded or have such a saftey first approach.

Floyd has crazy skills, but his style and attitude to fighting are different from most other greats.

just watch the fight again and listen to him man. he always says "i'd like to see flyod fight like he did corralles"...all the time he complains about him being defensive orriented and throwing one shot at a time.

Floyd also faught a great inside game that night..he got zero praise for it.

how come you don't bring those up?

Manny started hateing Floyd when people started comparing him to SRL and his boy Hearns. Its like he's threatened by it or something so he always feels the need to discredit him. Thats not the only fight that he's dissed Floyd. In the Oscar fight he basicaly said that he didnt think Floyd was a great fighter. He said that he's just a good solid fighter but he's nothing like an ATG and nothing like SRL and Hearns. He's a clown. Infact, its the same with his dad. Stewart always disses Floyd Sr. also and says that he doesnt know anything. He always said that Sr. didnt teach Oscar nothing and that Oscar was basicaly training himself
