Well if you're anti white you opinion is probably worth double.
If you're a racist or a nationalist....

I respect nationalism, but some here... There's a poster here who hates Filipino fighters so much, you couldn't take his post seriously because his motives were only to discredit the fighter because he is Filipino. And people respond to him, anyway. It's not even a fair discussion.
But back to my original question, does your boxing opinion count if you are a racist or a nationalist? Can you really see beyond someone's skin color and where they come from to form an informed opinion. I don't think you can.Comment

Tough one.. All depends which way you look at it I suppose..I respect nationalism, but some here... There's a poster here who hates Filipino fighters so much, you couldn't take his post seriously because his motives were only to discredit the fighter because he is Filipino. And people respond to him, anyway. It's not even a fair discussion.

Or should I say, how impartial you are..
I mean, it's common ground for say, a racist serial killer to share opinions with a prison Chaplin..
But with regard to boxing opinions, I think you're right & the answer is no, because the white guy always goes for the white guy, black 4 black , Brit 4 Brit, US 4 US & so on, so it's impossible to get a straight shooter.. On the very broad base of facts, you are correct sir.. Regards MMLast edited by mickey malone; 04-20-2009, 07:02 PM.Comment

Racists have a choice to be or not, there are no repercussions, just prejudice, upbringing. Nationalists, however, have no choice but to root for the countryman. It`s called moral support. You can`t be disloyal to your nation or race if its your boxer out there. However, logic still counts, if a countryman would logically lose one still roots for him to win.Last edited by Thwf; 04-20-2009, 08:01 PM.Comment

True that and I can tolerate that, no problem.
I don't mind the occassional "Go Ricky!" or "Go Manny!". But when people start spurting things like "Pac is a top 5 ATG" or "Joe Calzaghe is a top 10 ATG" or "Vitali is a top 10 AT Heavyweight", how could your really take them seriously, let alone have a discussion with them? They just don't make sense.Comment

Rooting for a countryman and saying he is an all-time great despite the facts is two different things.Racists have a choice to be or not, there are no repercussions, just prejudice, upbringing.
