How the hell did Barklay own Hearns TWICE!?

Like Iron Lungs posts... He's given me an idea here, and I've been trying to work out the answer for the last 20 years... Some help needed...

Iran was lucky the first time around and landed a lucky punch

But in their rematch with both men heavier and older Iran took the fight to Hearns and seemed to take his punches better at the weight. He just pressured Hearns all night long, Iran was more determined in their rematch.

Never seen Hearns's punches so ineffective though... It's more so the second fight I don't get.. Hearns dancing around with his nose on one side of his face getting owned..
It just didn't make sense.. thanks for your input... Perhaps I'm coming round! lol

Barkley landed a bomb whilst Hearns was trying to get him out of there, after be thouroughly dominating him and on the verge of stopping him.

2nd time Barkley knew enough to back Hearns up and not let him have the centre of ring, and to keep him back up on his heels to minimize his power.

One tough mother that Barklay, when you compare his natural resources to the wealth of Hearns.. Barklays game plan spot on..

If there was ever a lucky punch in boxing then the right Barkley landed on Hearns was it.

The rematch was somewhat close but Barkley pressured Hearns and outworked him by throwing over 1000 punches. Tommy was clearly not the fighter he was even during the first fight although he seemed to take punches better as a light heavyweight.
