And still the IBF champion of the world...

Chris Byrd!!! Wow that was the best fight on the entire card. Byrd was in trouble early but he came back strong and almost put down the big man.

Byrd deserved that win and he showed tremendous heart, sitting their trading with the bigger guy.

I'm so proud of my boy!

Despite much of the negative criticism that I have read regarding Chris Byrd, I have always enjoyed watching him fight. He takes on all comers and is darned near slick enough to be almost everyone. Not as slick as Sweet Pea, but as far as heavyweights go, maybe the slickest defensive fighter ever, edging out even Jimmy Young.

I really thought that Byrd was going to knock down McCline a couple of times, although Jameel has to be applauded for coming into fight in good shape. Byrd certainly took the fight though ... he has some set of skills.

i definately believe byrd won that fight. he wore McCline down the whole fight and waited until the later rounds to finish him off.

This was a good fight. I knew McCline's only chance was to get it over with quickly - McCline didn't do a damn thing after about Round 5 or 6. It looked like it could have been a KO early, though - it added to the suspense. Byrd's face was still pretty after this one - not mauled like it was vs. Golota.

Much better than Golota-Ruiz. There are no doubt that "Rapid Fire" is one of the best HW today.

I forgot to ask you guys.

Do you have more respect for Chris Byrd now than you did before or about the same?

About the same. The fight was how I expected, except I didn't expect Byrd to get caught early and downed. I thought Byrd would win 9 or 10 rounds, but McCline looked good early so I don't fault Chris so much. Unlike his last 2 decisions, I thought he won this one.

I always respected Byrd's talent, I just don't respect him as a human being with all his taunting and childish actions, but he does get props from me tonite.
