Floyd has the skill to out box very good opponents. And he can fight who he wants. We dont have to like it, or buy the PPV's. But obviously we are.
Look at all the threads about him every day even though its been well over a year since he fought.
      He is a big draw.

He can fight who he wants, and retire whenever he wants. He has worked his ass off for years to get where he is.

      These boxers owe us nothing.

I cant stand Floyd, but i understand the sport.
:goodpost: I don't like Floyd but you speak the truth my friend.

The guy has clearly shown his worship of Joe knows as few bounds as his hatred of Mayweather. He has no real rationale. Fuck 'boxasmash'.

Its crazy how his fans give the best fighter of this generation a pass,to just fight fights he is supposed to win!!Why can't floyd prove his mettle by fighting the best welterweights in the world!!floyd is taking away from his own legacy, while enlarging the legacy of Marquez! In about 10 years everyone will be saying,"do u remember when little Marquez hopped up 2 weight classes,to do battle with the cowardly, self proclaimed greatest ever",what a fighter he was!!

Floyd Mayweather Jr disses Ricky Hatton and praises Joe Calzaghe
By Johnny Benz (Oct 30, 2007) Doghouse Boxing
            --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In a recent article published by SportingLife UK, the pound for pound King, Floyd Mayweather Jr. says Ricky Hatton isn't even the best fighter in Britain. Mayweather Jr. also said the fight with Hatton, which is set on HBO-PPV for the date of December 8, will do nothing for his own legacy.

SportingLife reports that when Mayweather Jr. was asked why he's finally taking on Manchester's finest at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Mayweather stated: "This won't do nothing for my legacy. My legacy is already solidified
            , it's already stamped.

Mayweather went on to add: "Before I leave I want to beat the best British fighter out there, or one of them. Calzaghe's the best British fighter - probably one of the best I've ever seen.
"I'm fighting because I'm a businessman. The price is right, so let's make it happen."

Mayweather Jr. also spoke on what he's do if Hatton fights dirty.

"In Vegas they're firm but they're fair. If he gets dirty I can get dirty. Whatever he wants to do," said Mayweather Jr.

The Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Ricky Hatton pay-per-view telecast, on December 8, beginning at 9 pm ET/6 pm PT, will be produced and distributed by HBO Pay-Per-View and will be available to more than 61
            million pay-per-view homes.

I always liked Floyd's praise of Joe. Talent recognizes talent.

Wlad has fought everybody in his division, including about 15-20 fighters who were bigger, heavier, thicker men, such as Thompson, Austin, Wolfgramm, Purrity, McCline, Jefferson, etc.

Wlad is a warrior in the sense that he's never ducked anybody - he hasn't hand-picked his opponents!

Mayweather fighting JMM is the same as Wlad looking for opponents such as Dawson or Calzaghe from the light heavyweight division.

When Vitali returned after nearly four years, did he fight a light heavyweight two divisions smaller, or the WBC heavyweight titleholder?
