Andre Berto
or
Juan Manuel Marquez?
Just thought i'd ask seeing as he isnt going to fight Cotto or Mosley in his first fight back, and i dont think its fair to even contemplate it.
The guys that think he should fight a legitimate Welter, well Berto is. And for the guys that think its unfair for Floyd to fight a green fighter like Berto, Marquez should be the right pick.
Just thought i'd see what you guys came up with, as many of use give no justifications when talking about Floyd and his July 18th comeback fight. All i hear is either, Floyd's a *****, or Floyd and Marquez both weigh same on fight night bull ****.
Please give intelligent justification for your answers.
Let me start, Floyd's wants to fight someone who firstly has nothing to lose in the fight. He ent fighting Mosley, and Cotto-Clottey is already set up. Who's next in the welter division? Its down to Collazo and Berto?
Now my question is it fair for Berto to fight Mayweather seeing that a loss would put his career on hold at least a few years? Is that really fair on Berto? And Floyd knows this. He ent gona jeopardise a fighters career at this stage of his life, hence why he didnt fight Cotto at 140 a couple of years back.
Some of you guys are so oblivious to how boxing is run and how difficult it is too make money and make good matches simultaneously that it gets ridiculous. Boxing is a money sport and i laugh everytime fans like yourselfs critisize fighters for choosing big money fights rather than, in your opinion, the best fights that you want to see. Its like someone going for a job interview and having the option on being on 100k a year or 50k a year, what would you pick?
A Mayweather-Marquez fight is a good fight for boxing this year. Fact is, this is a tune up regardless of what people say. You gotta be blind not to see this as a tune up. Call Floyd a ***** all you want, but as long as he retires having faced Pacquiao and Cotto I, as a boxing fan, will be happy.
