Had it even. I ain't mad at a 7-5 split for either guy. The 1 card was nuts tho.

It's tough to say, but I'd give it to Hagler.

            Too many people fault Hagler.

Hagler beat himself by fighting orthodox the first few rounds.

I have watched the fight a few times since. Yes I saw the fight the day it actually took place. I was a huge Ray Leonard fan.

The fight was close, it could have gone either way, I would not have been angry at what ever decision was made. I could have lived with a draw, or Hagler winning or Ray winning but I can't live with Hagler still WHINNING about it and saying he was robbed. Great fight and Ray really had no business coming out of retirement because of that eye that Hearns nearly knocked off :fight:

Have you even seen the fight, it was razor thin. Leonards punches were flashy, fast but not hard and flurried in spurs to steal the round

Haglers were harder, came consistantly and he was putting in some good body work as well as hurting Leonard in the middle rounds.

Seen this fight at least 15 times and I score it for Leonard each and every time.

Sure...Hagler had some good rounds, where SRL got on his bike & still got owned..
But there were only 5 of these..
Marv done himself no favors, changing stance during the fight..
Leonard even predicted he'd do this before the fight, & said he'd trained for it.
                  Hagler didn't listen.
Hagler was never hurt, but got outfoxed by a superior, more eye catching display
And, yes I've seen it dozens of times, it's one of my favs..

i had leonard winning the first 4 rounds, the 6th could have gone either way, but it looked like leonard won it, round 10 is the most action in the fight, its an even round to me, and i have leonard winning rounds 11 and 12. makeing it 116-113 for my score. and i am more of a hagler fan then a leonard, but hagler wasnt his best that night, he had only fought like once in two years.

So 7-5 isn't "punching air" it was close.

It's pretty easy to predict that Hagler would change stance before the fight, considering he did it in almost every fight. I had it 7-5 in Haglers favour and Leonad is a favourite of mine but I think Hagler did the more consistant work and I wasn't really "fooled" if thats the word by Leonards flashy punching and flurries
