please explain how floyd is the best at 147

im not joking..... the fact of the matter is cotto has never beaten a ww champion, mainly because floyd dethroned them before cotto could bet to them..... and, aside from mosley, cotto hasn't fought anyone at 147 worth mentioning...... and dont you dare say margarito.....

Zab Judah-champ
Carlos Baldomir-champ
Ricky Hatton- champ

Cotto has fought:
Zab Judah-ex champ
Mosley-ex champ
Margarito- **** fighter
Jennings- does he count?

Put it this way, Margarito > Baldomir, Mosley > Judah, Judah > Mitchell. Cotto has the better resume at welterweight, no question.

That being said, Mayweather is the best welterweight in the world.

raines you need to wake up today. You're normally a good poster, but this is crap. Margarito is a "three time" (fact check?) welterweight champion and has wins over a lot of the top competition in the division. Plus he was using plaster. If you can't give Cotto credit for fighting him, I don't know what to tell you.

I'd pick Mr boat buyer over SSM and Cotto, but obviously I'd like to see him prove it. He retired without facin his top challengers at 147, so he's got unfinished business there. Mayweathers fight vs Oscar was at 154 and Oscar has a longer reach + more height than Cotto. Can't really compare the two.

Cotto ‘s jab is nowhere as good as Oscar. Floyd figured out him by round 4. Oscar stamina is the same as Cotto. They die out near the end of a fight. Oscar has faster handspeed and combinations. Oscar is much taller and longer reach than Cotto. I don’t think Mayweather will have trouble with Cotto’s jab.

cotto has a great jab, it's fast and crisp. he beat mosley using it.. oscar is faded as we saw in his last 3 fights, his stamina is no where near cotto's anymore.
