Body punches aren't really ever that hard. You need to be very skilled and accurate to land in the right place. Plus people are highly condition to take them and/or block with the forearms/elbows.Comment

It's not that bad....just put on some boxing gloves with ur friends and go at it and wait till u get hit in the body so u can feel it..u dont have to be superman to take a body punch..at times, some take it better than others(no ****). but like spray said, if you ask Clottey he would say dey ken not tek my punches.Comment

That's what you do abdominal exercises for. Shoot, I challenge people to punch me in my stomach. You'll just hurt your hand. But not a good idea really. That's how Houdini was killed. A kid punched him when he wasn't ready. And boxing gloves cushion the blow too.
Did you see Corrie Sanders' last comeback fight? He was knocking the guy all around the ring - until he got punched once in his stomach. The he fell down. I doubt that he even did one situp to train for that fight.Comment

The ability to absorb punishment to the body is all conditioning, timing and defense. the ability to take head shots or a world class chin is God given and you either have it or you don't.
Just find this Shadow Boxers.
It looks cool.Comment

Boxers do prepare for these kinds of punches so they can absorb it. Body punching is something like an investment where you have to go to it a lot to see its effects but there is still that perfect shot that can take the wind out of a fighter.Comment
