Why do people deny facts.? During the split second it takes a southpaw to throw a right jab, he is at this point, open to a left hook. I will not deny, that Pac has the speed of thought to slip this punch.. However, most of these hooks will be aimed just underneath the bottom rib.. Inspite of Pacs speed, I don't see him being strong enough to thwart Hatton, & will weaken.. Many people over exaggerate Hat's power, ie: hits at 900lbs etc..
But the fact is, he is proven as the most powerful L/W in the world today, and it's his spitefulness that is underestimated. Unless Pac has concussive power in his punches, which has not been evident in the lower weights, I can not see him winning..

Dundee thinks Hatton has a great chance to dethrone the current Pound for Pound king on May 2nd. “If ever there is a fighter that could beat Manny Pacquiao it is Ricky Hatton,” Dundee said.

        Why is that, I inquired?

“Aggressiveness, Hatton will take it to him,” Dundee said. “It takes the awkwardness out of the southpaw if you take it to him. And Hatton has the best punch to beat a southpaw, the left hook. Hatton said it himself, he is bigger, and stronger. Pacquiao is quicker. But I give Hatton a great shot to win. It is because of the style. You take it to the southpaw. I handled six southpaws, that is how I know. I handled the best southpaw in the world, Michael Nunn. But he got hit with that left hook from James Toney. You see, that is the punch. So they will make it a great fight. And I give Ricky a great shot to win.”
Didnt the guy say the same thing about DelaHoya

I dont know why ppl are bringing up him picking DLH over Pac. If he knew DLH was going to be drained that bad he wouldnt of picked him.

Hatton is in no way a foil to Pac. He can win, but he ain't Pac's kryptonite by far.

Agreed. It takes a slick boxer with good timing to beat Pacquiao.
