    Wow...but anyway.

If its at 147...JM is a tune up.

    144-143...Its a legit win.

JMM is old and moving up....

Floyd hasnt fought in 2 years.

    Fair game.
damn you malcolm, the reason floyd hasnt been wrestling for more than 2 years is because you are in his bed everyday

I think he feels that he'll never be close to a real WW but he's at the best level he ever will be in terms of being a WW. Now if he goes down and then comes back then he may be weighing in at 148 still at fight night and guys like Cotto & Mosley will feel like a shock to his system after moving down to fight a JMM. I think if there were nothing but bums at WW and he wasnt going to fight there again then he would come down but thats not the case. He has to go back and he wants to stay as close to that level as possible because thats the only way he can win. Youre right when you said thats good for Floyd in this fight but in his WW fights his frail body kills him and thats why he's hesitant to fight those guys. He's already giving up 15-22 pounds in the ring and it seems like naturaly its even bigger then that.

Me personaly, I think if he fights a Mosley or Cotto right now then he would win if he's not too rusty but if he goes down to 140 and then comes back up to fight Mosley or Cotto then I could see him getting pushed around and losing. Thats what I think he fears. I think alot of people feel that he's just going to fight a JMM or a JMM & Pac and thats it but I dont. I think he just wants them 2 first because it makes sense and then he's going to finish it off at WW, e****aly against Mosley. I think he really feels like he can beat him even at Mosley's best. Seriously though, I think most fans are just looking at it like 1 fight and he should meet JMM half way but I think Floyd is looking at the big picture and he doesnt want to hurt himself for the future just to be cool now
If you are right and the main reason is to fight the ww's ill suport that 100%. My problem is based on floyds history at these divisions its something ill simply have to wait and see happen before believing. I must be honest im skeptical, but open to hoping this does infact happen. It would silence his critics.

This is 1 of floyds easiest fights!!Just looking for a quick easy payday with very little risk! But pretty sure floyd will rant and rave about how great he is after beating Marquez!!

            At 140 it's a boost. Beyond that it don't mean jack ****.

It's a name, but nothing ground breaking in his career being he's been at WW since 2005. JMM has never fought above 135.

jmm is a tune up... floyd will get a little credit for beating the #2 p4p fighter but not much.

nah, jmm is as unproven at 140 as he is above it. jmm is a tune up.

actually I don't think it will be easy, but because floyd is the bigger guy he should win handily, tho imho jmm will wins some rounds... he is p4p #2 afterall.

Any other guy they fight will probably be close to as dangerous as Floyd and you will have to fight for much less money then a Mayweather fight
This is one the best posts today.

I always felt that PBF was one of the smartest, in and out of the ring, to ever laced 'em up. His career has been carefully managed and I wouldn't be surprised if he and his team were thinking this way.

The frustrating thing about PBF is that he really does have an excellent chance of beating anyone put in front of him. He is that talented, skilled, smart and highly adaptable. But this is still a business and Floyd is a great businessman.

At 140lbs. it may enhance it, but at 147lbs. it stays the same, no harm done anyway.
