Re: Arum making ridiculous projections/promises
Still waiting for that Macau card in China. Oops.
Still waiting for Kelly Pavlik fighting at Cleveland Browns Stadium. Oops.
Still waiting for JCC Jr. to fight someone with a pulse. Oops.
Still waiting for JCC Jr. to become a bigger attraction than DLH. Oops.
And now he's got people thinking Pac-Cotto is actually going to happen this November. lol...no chance unless he knows Cotto is jumping the Top Rank ship over the Margarito fiasco.
About the only fighter that he's had under contract that I've heard Arum be honest about is Rahman, who was done when he signed with Top Rank and Bob knew it, he just wanted a piece of the HW pie for some reason.Comment

I am not a fan of JCC Jr by any stretch of the imagination, but to see him ragged like this is very lameRe: Arum making ridiculous projections/promises

1. JCC Jr is still very young (22 yrs old?) with no amateur background. He's fighting guys who are pros but are marginally good so that he can get that experience.
2. Arum is rather smart I'd say, the guy has no experience yet sells PPV tickets to Americans and Mexicans. At his pace, he will one day surpass Oscar as an attraction. Its kinda unfair that you are putting these high expectations of him so early. Oscar had that Olympic Gold to ride off of and he didn't really become a Box Office Draw till the '99 match with Trinidad. And that was a very iconic match at the time with Trinidad being probably the bigger draw at that time.
So in closing, for a kid who has to live under his father's shadow for the rest of his life/boxing career he's doing a pretty good job at carving out his own legacy little by little. He'll eventually get the Elite battlers. Just relax and sit tight and stop being overly analytical about a boxer who is just maturingComment

I love to do this comparison between champions, exchampions, and future champions Calderon and Finito Lopez faced.
Calderon's record against chamions he faced is 9-0-0.
Lopez's record against champions he faced is 10-0-1.Comment

You got it man! if it did, then Calderon would beat Cotto now and Cotto would've never KTFO of Abdulaev, etc. Some people are just plain ******.
By the way, I got Ivan by UD, SD if they fight in Manila.Comment

I see this in the undercard of Cotto-Pacquiao, which would be interesting, it has been ages since this division was last unified.Comment
