What is the most U.S PPV buys by two non-american fighters?

I do believe Hatton and Pacquiao are about to break whatever that record currently is.

What's even more impressive is neither one of them is Mexican. That's a pretty big deal if you ask me; two non-american, non-Mexican fighters selling what could possibly be around 1 million buys, or more. Boxing is DEAD!!

    The UK is sports mad.

If the Pinoys had the same economy and pricing for fights as the UK this fight would break every record.

But it doesn't and it won't.

But these are two countries who love the crap out of these guys.

yea it is pretty cray. it's definetly not the norm but these two fighters will sell well in the states and in europe! Manny is going to make some serious cash and so is dlh, just like he planned it.

yeah but oscar's original plan was to be the one fighting Hatton, not Manny. Regardless, $$$$$ for him either way!

Seriously anyone know the answer? I'm guessing maybe Morales/Barrera? I'm probably missing an obvious one...

Holyfield-Tyson was the last time 2 americans did big PPV numbers. That was a long time ago.

It's declined in popularity in the US but I wouldn't say it's completely dead.
Oh you must have missed the obvious sarcasm. I'm well aware how well boxing is doing accross the globe, and my last comment about boxing being dead was a joke, as Pacquiao and Hatton are about to get approximately 1 million PPV buys....and they aren't even american! That says something very positive about our sport.

That's not what I asked and that's also incorrect. Oscar de la hoya (american) vs Floyd Mayweather (american) did 2.4 million buys and that was like 2 years ago.

originally but after hatton looked like **** in his comeback bout no one was buying that fight. and hatton is **** at 147 that has already been proven. So the next best thing was to introduce manny to the casuals with the dlh fight and now we got manny vs hatton. tr and gbp have teamed up nicely to milk manny
