Oscar threw the fight before the 1st round. It all started with training camp, telling us how everything was perfect and he was in the best shape of his life. Even though he later admitted that he was getting his ass whooped by his sparring partners, and TKO'd by Valero. He didn't care at all about this fight. It was a joke. He just wanted to show up for one last payday.

People have killed over far less money. Oscar throwing the fight for over $20M is not anything shocking at all.

What is always great fun is reading the 2 fighters accounts of the same fight especially the pre tv era. You'll hear the fighter who got knocked down in every round say it was a hometown decision etc etc.
Re this fight, DLH was just very poor, I wouldn't want to suggest any fighter threw a fight without a lot of evidence. DLH is/was shot I think is the most logical explaination.

i think hatton's gonna stop him. mayweather beats him and stops him late probably, but mayweather doesn't have a "combative" style like hatton and cotto, so a mayweather pacman fight would be competitive longer.

you're right, all three guys beat him, i just said cotto b/c supposedly that's the "next big fight," but cotto beats pacman worse than floyd or hatton does.

i don't think he "threw" the fight either.....he was a lil' disoriented from the countless punches he took....DLH just wasn't "right." he weighed in at 144, and fight night he was only 147?
