You think Hatton improved under FMS?

the hatton that fought ben tackie was a lot more polished than the hatton that fought paulie IMO...

he always had underrated skills...

why he chose to abandon it for the hatton who clinches almost every 5 seconds is anyone's guess...

It doesn't need to be drastic IMO. He just needs to think more when coming in and get a bit more defensive. His style is very effective against most fighters and with more technique and thought it will be very difficult for most guys to do anything about it.

Pacquiao's a great fighter, but styles make fights and Hattons bullying, aggressive, come forward style, mixed with a bit more intelligence and technique is exactly the style Pac will have problems with.

I think Hatton's style could give Pacquiao problems but it plays into Pacquiao's hands at the same time. The type of fighter Pacquiao has problems with is the type that can judge distance and time him with counter shots (JMM) or the type who charges him without fear of taking his shots (Morales), Hatton does neither, not saying Hatton won't give Pacquiao problems but the styles matchup favors Pacquiao IMO.
