How many PPV buys are people expecting for Pac-Hatton?

This one is going to be funny because it is going to prove to everyone that De La Hoya and Floyd are the draws.

The ****ty PPV buys for Margarito-Cotto didn't prove it to people for some reason.

Pac-Hatton will do 400K PPV buys. Which is pathetic. I can't wait for the "economy" excuses after everyone finds out that Americans don't care about a defeated limey and some midget that pretends he hasn't abandoned his people by living in a mansion next to the slums he grew up in.

Kevin Iole, writer for Yahoo, said around 1 million in the US. I don't like Iole very much though, or have faith in anything he says.

What's with the hate? Margarito-Cotto did damn good numbers for two fighters that live and train outside the US, no 24/7 build up show, one speaks poor english, and the other speaks no english at all. I can't wait for you to say the economy doesn't affect PPV buys.

I was thinking about 1 million combined UK/US. Being as we're in a current worldwide recession, 1 mill US alone would be very surprising.

As long as the fight is good, I'm happy.

Mayweather Marquez shouldn't and won't be on PPV.

Why shouldn't it be? Marquez is the number 2 p4p boxer, and, as you say Floyd is a HUGE draw. It's already been said if it happens it will be on PPV

                    • Representatives for Floyd Mayweather Jr., who is coming out of retirement but hasn't officially announced it yet, and lightweight champ Juan Manuel Marquez continue to quietly negotiate a fight, which would take place July 18 on HBO PPV in Las Vegas. Golden Boy CEO Richard Schaefer, Marquez's promoter, told ESPN.com that he's working on it, although he didn't provide other details.
C'mon, I could use a laugh. How many PPV buys do you think it will get?
