He has exactly 2 fights where he has done great PPV numbers. your acting like he's always been this big time fighter that everyone wants to watch. there's been a couple of times when he has failed to sell out arenas or people would leave in the middle of the fight!!!! the purse should be 50/50 or even 55/45 for Pac as he is the P4P king and both are similar in drawing!

this fight has such big potential and he wants to get greedy floyd deserves better potComment

the only reason floyd sold well in those two fights was because of oscar and the other because of hatton, floyd fighting a nobody, puts noboby in the stands, oscar fighting a nobody like patrick charpentier put 50,000 in sub bowl stadium in texas,,,ricky would sell out soccer stadiums....floyd? lolComment

i'm not trying to belittle floyd's drawing power he is a good draw but im just saying its not much better than pac they are similar! hatton/pac will prove that!Comment

How much Pac-Hatton sells remains to be seen.
But based on their fights with DLH, Mayweather was the bigger draw.
Then again, Pac is probably a bigger draw now than he was then, because of the way he beat DLH. And if he beats Hatton, he'll be a bigger draw still.Last edited by Dave Rado; 04-18-2009, 09:52 PM.Comment

Hard to tell, but I doubt it. People will pay for the entertainment they want however bad the recession (those who still have jobs). Hollywood's most lucrative period in its entire history was during the Great Depression - people wanted escapism and to forget their troubles for a few hours, at any price. Boxing also got huge crowds during the Great Depression. The first Louis Schmeling fight sold out the Yankee Stadium and it wasn't even for a title. And the Klitschko-Haye fight has sold 30,000 tickets on the day the tickets first went on sale, which is better than any heavyweight fight has sold for a long time. I don't think there's much sign that the recession is having an effect on the really big fights that everyone wants to see. The no name fights will be a different matter of course.Last edited by Dave Rado; 04-18-2009, 10:03 PM.Comment

Agreed. This fight should be 50-50 down the middle. It's only fair.Comment
