Because he never fought the best in the division yet claimed that he did.

    Simple.

It's not his ability that gets him criticism it's his big mouth.

the guy has some skills and is a great fighter but if he feels he's not a real welterweight then he should move down.

It would be one thing if he just had 1 or 2 fights at WW, but he campaigned there and captured a title and was the recognized champion.

Deep down a lot of Floyd fans want to see him fight the top WWs, they just try to justify Floyd's moves to give some type of merit for him fighting someone like Marquez who many believe at Floyd's stage of his career may be looked at as high reward, low risk. Truthfully, I only care to see him against Pac, Cotto, and or Mosley. I'm not gonna lose sleep over it though.

in by itself that's not even that bad.

lightweights fight welterweights all the time but at least fight the top guys in your division as well.

he's fought 1 natural welterweight. ONE! and it was carlos baldomir for crying out loud......

I don't know man. I guess I can forgive him for the Sharmba Mitchell fight.

I mean why not fight Mitchell after Kostya Tzyu damn near beheaded him.

The thing I don't like is, holding up Baldomir's belt, like Baldomir was something.

It would be the same if Chad Dawson beat Zsolt Erdei. Nobody would give a **** because they know he isn't the best.

He gets major points for beating Hatton at welter.

But if he is naturally 135 or 140, frigging fight there.
