At the time MANY thought Hatton would lose to Tackie and also Stewart and many if not the majority here were picking both to beat Hatton. It took beating Tszyu for Ricky to get any credit and then he loses to the P4P#1 guy and suddenly becomes a "bum" here... Floyd beat Chico easier than he did Ricky and Chico wasn't a "bum" after the fight. Floyd is just that good.
So tackie was barometer for hatton's greatness. it didnt take mayweather to make hatton a bum, it took feather fisted collazo to school him and then he went running back to a lighter division
if he has already shown boxing skills (Tackie being just one of many examples btw and not his best preformance) it's ignorant at best to say he's only just learned.

Besides after the Hatton fight Tackie went from being a contender to Gatekeeper, He was actually a very good judge of who was/wasn't top LWW back in 2000-2005.
anyone can show boxing skills against mid-level competition. to do it in the elite level is where it counts
