it makes me chuckle a little bit when people say 'what does boxrec say...get over it!' when the poll clearly asks 'who did you have winning?'. you act like the judges decisions are law, espite the fact that they clearly screw up a lot.
while I did have De La Hoya winning(and I think everyone should, seeing as you judge fights on a ROUND BY ROUND BASIS), I think theres a myth behind the 'we have this fight in the bag, play it safe!' point of view. Trinidad always came on strong in the later stages of the fight, and DLH was probably tired from the work he put in in the earlier stages of the fight. he was running not solely because he had the fact 'already won', he was also running because he feared Trinidad's power and tenacity.
which all smart fighters should, but that fight was still just a real big dissapointment. so bad, in so many ways.
