All of a sudden the Golden boys hands were tied?
Point blank and easy point.
We all know that Oscar De La Hoya was and forever was in the position to make the the rematch happen.
If he truly felt he could beat Trinidad, considering all the controversy, he could have made it happen.
He was not broke and really needed to have such a larger "piece of the pie"
why else would he first offer a 60/40 split then a 70/30 later on...."pride"?
I doubt it, because pride would have made him make the fight WE ALL KNOW HE HAD THE POWER TO MAKE...BUT DIDN'T. It was for a reason. He knew he would have to fight and he knew he would get KO'ed. Too much pressure to stand and fight..he would have.
