1st fight with Barerra and that of Hatton... (126 and 140)

Those belts were not recognized as major belts...

    vs Sasakul @112 - WBC
    vs Ledwaba @ 122 - IBF
    vs marquez @ 130 - WBC
    vs Diaz @ 135 - WBC

vs Barrera @ 126 - ring belt (not major belt)
vs Hatton @ 140 - IBO and ring belt (not major belt)

If those 2 fights were major belts, there would be no more arguments... But yes, he's still a 6-weight champion... going to 7... But history will only list 5 major belts including that of Cotto, with special mention of the other 2 minor belts..
Pac doesn't hunt for Major Belt!!! He hunts major Heads!!! He hunts for the best available & willing fighters. I'll recognize the Ring belt than any of the abc belts there. The most important thing is Pac's looking for the greatest Challenge. Who else the more challenging fight at 147??? Cotto beats Mosley, Cheato's gone, PBF still hiding, who else there for Pac at 147???

My apology, I mean major belt (not IBO)

Lineal but not major belt... IBO is not recognize as major belt...

If Pacquiao did not skipped 115 and 118, he is the greatest with 9 belts..

and if Barrera and Hatton has major belts.. Pacquiao now have 11 major belts where no one in boxing has ever achieved...

Imagine he got all belts from 112 to 147...

Donaire can have 7 belts if he goes upto 135 and keep on winning without skipping any weight division...

no belt is major unless you are talking about major garbage.

barrera and hatton should have "major" belts anyway if you want to break it down. hatton had the wba and ibf but was stripped and never lost them in the ring. barrera also would have the wbc 126 belt if he paid the fanctioning fees. so are they not the real champs or is some clown who won a vacant belt the real champ?

              linear titles > alphabet belts.

That's the dumbest **** I ever heard. Diaz, Hatton, and Hoya were not the major heads as far as competition. It was either for a belt or money. Listen to Roach, they are basically picking fighters who are easy targets. And they picked Cotto because they think he's damaged goods.
