Simple math, eh? Hatton's KO ratio is something like 1.4% higher than Manny's. Manny actually has more KO's (36 vs. 32) but he also had 7 more fights, so naturally, it's lower because the more fights you have, the lower the ratio gets. The more fights you have the better the opponents are. If Hatton has 7 more fights (so he can match Manny's number of fights) I'd guess his KO ratio gets lower because the level of competition usually rises. That's unless he fought 7 tomato cans, which of course he won't be doing at this stage of his career, he only wants big name opponents.
You also talk of "badly washed up" fighters hurting Pac, but do you not agree that the last thing a fighter loses is his punch? That's why Jones and Hopkins were able to hurt Calzaghe, for example. They still can crack.
