In alot of asian cultures lefties are forced to convert to righty from childhood because it is believed that writing with ur left hand is bad luck. So they are taught to become righties in everything from eating to writing to brushing their teeth.

So i dont think it's that Pacquiao's fighting stance was converted to southpaw. I think it's everything else in his lifetsyle that was converted to orthodox. Which would be a more valid explanation for him not having a good right hook until late in his career.
