Yuriorkis Gamboa is on The Fast Track

I love the guy, and he has been great, but has only beaten bums. He has to start fighting people with pulses.

This is the case for most boxers early on... Well most, some fighters fight for years before leaving home and fighting something other than bums......

Anyway this is only the start of his career. He needs to sharpen the game up and stop leaving himself wide open all the time because as soon as he steps his game up he might be dropped for good....

If he stays focused and his nose clean, he'll do big things...

gamboa doesn't have a weak chin. iv'e seen almost all his fights and iv'e never seen him hurt yet.
yes, he's been down a lot, but all his down were beacuse he's defense is messed up and was caught off balance. every time he has stood up right away without showing any signs of damage. there was even once that he was caught with an elbow :S

but still, i don't know if his chin is good, but i don't is is as bad as some people think. he just need to be careful and improve his defense. apart from that he has everything.

I agree I dont think he has a "weak chin". I think he gets ****y and leaves himself wide open for flash KD's..... I've never seen the dude hurt or dazed, just really pissed off to end the fight then and there or the very next round....

He reminds me of Mike Tyson with his ring swagger!

What I see in Gamboa is a dirty fighter. Constantly holding and hitting and pushing off and using his shoulder.

show evidence of him holding and hitting all i have seen is his opponents attmepting to hold him and him punching with his free hand or with both to prevent it from happening

Why the hate such early on. Actually the question is how do you even hate on someone who just started boxing?

Its almost like saying you dislike something before ever trying it.... no one has really seen anything from him... He has a lot of room to grow as a boxer/fighter....

He needs work, but MOST fighters do at such an early stage. One must start somewhere right?
