Goossen Rips Arum Over Arreola, Williams Comments

Earlier this evening, BoxingScene.com received a call from promoter Dan Goossen, who is usually in a good mood when we speak. Goossen, promoter of Chris Arreola and Paul Williams, took exception to some of the recent opinions from Bob Arum of Top Rank. The opinions in question were published in two separate pieces of content on BoxingScene. [details]

Got to agree with Goosen on this one, Although they're not the fine physical specimens we'd hope, Arum was still way out of line, the comments were just in no way helpful to boxing at all.

Arum was right on the money with his comments, those heavywights are an example of how pathetically weak American fighters have become compared to Rusian, and Ukraine fighters. But his pay-per-view events are total bull ****. I haven't payed for one of his PPV's in years.

Eastern European heavyweights are superior. They dominate the inferior Americans.

Yes and they will coutinue to do so for many years, even when the Klitschkos decide to retire, i think the Europeans will stay on top, there has been a shift that took place in the HW divison, ever since the Millenium started.
