true. Hopkins I think likes Dawson, and wants him to succeed. Even though he enjoyed beating Pavlik, I think he sort of felt bad whooping on a young lion. I think the reason he has no problem fighting Williams is because of the whole "most feared" bull****.

Dawson is a good fighter and wants the big fights. He is out to prove himself and so far he has passed with flying colors.
I don't h8, and I disagree with Williams' name being thrown in with hopkins as well because he would have to jump up to 168-175, and he's too green for that, Bernard would be way too cagey...Dawson maybe a good fighter but he's not elite. Tarver, clearly has proven that he could only beat Roy. Bernard dominated Tarver at 41...

Rematch clause. Nothing he can do about it. And people say he's ducking a Johnson rematch.

Hopkins doesn't want it, but thats cool cos he's 43 and deserves a proper send out.

After Tarver we shall see whats next, I want to see him give glen johnson another shot, because to me he clearly lost that fight, was nearly on the floor twice too I think.

But he's a talented young fighter looking to fight some names, dont see a reason to hate that.

This forum is become obsessed with 'ducking', its getting a bit much now, if the fight the fans want cant get made, one guy is ducking the other.

What about Adamek and Johnson then? Even if you somehow believe Johnson won, it was a close fight. I don't see how he's not elite.

By the way, it doesn't really sound like you're hating in the thread, but the thread title certainly supports that claim. Saying you have little to no respect for a fighter.

And Bernard dominated Pavlik. Is Pavlik not elite? Who's elite? The top ten? Because Dawson's close to that too.

Glen Johnson not only gave him all he could handle, he won imo. Now, ppl talk about him giving Bernard a challenge. I don't see it! Chad is still green and Bernard would eat this young bull if you ask me...
Actually the Johnson fight is the only fight where he ever received any criticism, because before and after that he has looked unbeatable. He dominated Adamek( who moved to cruiser weight and became ring magazine champion) and beat other top 10 fighters like Johnson, Tarver, and Harding. He has one of the highest skill levels in the sport and one of the best body punchers going right now. You can't just look at one single fight and draw conclusion because trust me, you will lose every time you bet.

I just don't see how Johnson won that fight. Do you remember how you scored it? The consensus is that Dawson won more rounds, so you would have needed to give Johnson a couple 10-8 rounds, with no knockdowns.
