stating hatton as an underdog is misleading the public JB...
hatton is the lineal champion, the fighter more comfortable @ 140, bigger & stronger...
how did MP, the one who came from flyweight, the smaller guy who will have his first fight @ 140 become the favorite?
are u referring to the vegas guys?
in a boxing observer's view, hatton should be the favorite...

hatton has a very good chance to win. manny is not invincible. ur only as good as ur last fight, never know how it would play out.. good example marg vs mosley. what will hurt pac is hes to use to the mexican style.Comment

true true, vegas guys have him as the favorite.....and so do casual fans.......the boxing public should have hatton as the fav.....he was up till the oscar fight, and then it completely reversed.
but you also got to look into it in-depth....hatton had a great performance against paulie, and then shaky against lazcano, and got ko'd by floyd at 147
Pac dominated oscar, david diaz at 135, and won a controversial split over jmm.

That is true. Although I love pac, the media does seem to make him look like some type of superman. But still, he is a great fighter and goes into the fight as a favorite.Comment

its going to be a tough fight.. if hatton can control the tempo and make it a sloppy rough fight, then yes he can pull out the victory.. if pacman can fight the way he wants to from the outside, then it will be his night..
remember, ricky's defense has increased under mayweather sr..

he's not a good inside fighter
and hatton is probably stronger than him..

Ricky has a VERY good shot. Keep in mind that all of this isnt to say Ricky will win, because its a pick em fight. But you seem convinced Ricky has no chance, so Im going to give you some factors to keep in mind when you say that (Im hoping you also have honestly followed Pac in more then just the Diaz and Oscar fight when you say Ricky has no shot.)
-Ricky is the naturally stronger, and bigger man. If anyone wants to argue that you dont know a God damn thing about what "naturally stronger and bigger" means. Rest assured, Ricky will bully the **** out of Pac if he can get to him. Big if.
-Knowing that Ricky is going to be able to manhandle Pac on the inside if he can get there, we need to know how Pac will handle the rough housing and the strength of Hatton. It doesnt just slow you down, it wears you out.
-Ricky is going to be hitting Pac harder then any man ever has. Pac has been stopped to the head and body, and has been stunned in more recent fights. How will he take the biggest punches that have ever hit him?
-Ricky comes forward and brings constant pressure. Pac isnt known for being a great fighter when he is forced to go backwards. What happens if Ricky can keep Pac going backwards?
-Even Oscar said that Pac didnt hit that hard at the higher weight, so what happens if he cant hurt Ricky coming in? Ricky can cut the ring off like a mo fo to get to Pac, and Im sure he is willing to take two to land one if Pac cant hurt him.
-Ricky has only lost to the best fighter in the world, and in a higher weight class then he had any business fighting in.
Again, not to say that Im picking Hatton, but he has a great shot. Too many factors to look at far beyond what Ive posted here. People just have short memories.Comment
