I think people are missing something about the Williams/Cotto matchup.

Is not that he coulndt, it was the fight pln and the desicion he did to go head hunting.
And I think he's missing the point about conventional vs conv, the left hook usually lands on the front, hitting muscle. Against a southpaw, it's much easier to hit the unprotected kidney, squarely.

who's to say he wasn't using them for the williams fight? from what i heard, PW used to "put in on margarito's ass" when they sparred....
If that was the case, wouldn't Margarito have fought Cotto instead of Williams?

exactly. cotto would be in bigger trouble if plan A is to try and work williams' body more than anything.....get hit w/ 5 or 6 shots in the face, while trying to get close enough to land 1 body shot?

cotto is undoubtedly the most talented WW right now, he'll beat clottey easier than many ppl think......although i'd love to see him fight PW, i won't hold it against him, or any other WW for not fighting dude. on the same token, i'd give major props to clottey, if he beats cotto, and decides to fight paul.....win, lose, or draw.

the fight was lined up to fight cotto, and unify AFTER the PW fight......PW was margarito's MANDATORY.

Cotto got in love with the head shot, margaritos Body was wide open, but the head shots came free, so he went head hunting. Everybody knows that!!!!!!!!

Again, Cotto is not like Winky, who is a straight comming forward Fighter with no head movement. Cotto gives people odd angles and have a pretty ggod foot work also.

Quintana already showed, that if you give Williams angles, you can cut his work rate and can go to the inside without getting hit much.!!!!!!!!1

oye tigre, for once in your life. LISTEN

MIGUEL ANGEL COTTO admitted HIMSELF that he "just couldnt get to margaritos body" ive read that myself so i know its true. HE said it himself.

I think cotto knows a little bit more about what happened versus margarito than you do..... just a thought.

I used to use the Quintana fight, but the more I watch Williams the more I think it doesn't apply. I used to argue that Cotto would beat Williams at Welter, I don't think so any more though. Williams is just too big for him i think.

                      Ok thats find and Dandi.

But Im going with what i have seen. And thi is a 50/50 fight.

If Cotto gets to the inside, he stops Williams, if Williams keeps Cotto at bay, he Uds Cotto or TKOs him late.

PS. Why you dont think that foght doesnt apply?
