    Hatton did it because of his nickname which is the Mexican Manchester and how much he likes the style of Mexican fighters.

    Floyd did it because he tried to win some of the Mexican crowd over DLH.

    And for me being Mexican, I don't find it disrespectful..

          Ricky is sometimes known as the "Manchester Mexican" and is also good friends with Barrera, so when he wears a sombrero to the ring, it looks as if he's paying homage.

          When Floyd did it against Oscar, he wanted to piss people off. He was playing up to his public persona.

                      Maybe it's different with each guy.

                      I know Floyd wore the sombrero in the DLH fight and Hatton wore one in the Castillo fight.
                      mayweather doing it was disrespectful.
