    Sweet Pea vs. Chavez

I just finished watching "The Fight" for the first time in two years. Aside from the pathetic, biased commentary, this is one of my most bittersweet moments with boxing. Pernell is one of my all time favorites, and he gives Chavez a boxing lesson. The robbery is the worst in the history of the sport, IMO, but was a theme in his career. Two questions, how did you score the fight? And why did Chavez duck a rematch?

I had at least 8 when I seen it.

Tough to watch when your two favorites are going at it.

Either way, Pea got in that ass.

The screwjobs Whitaker endured during his career is a disgrace. I still don't know why Chavez, the warrior that he was, ducked a rematch.

            8rds.

Chavez was past it by then.

Saw it live but I was a pup back then. Saw it again about 2 or 3 years ago and I remember giving Chavez about 3 or 4 rounds.

In my opinion, Pernell Whitaker was undefeated going into the Tito bout

Sports Illustrated had him taking 9 when they ran the cover story saying "ROBBED!!" Personally I had him taking 10.
