Who will be the next great thing to come along and rake in the big PPV numbers?

-Ali retires in 81' After Holmes and Berbick

-Sugar Ray Leonard Won its first title in 79' Against Benitez and Ranzany

-Sugar Ray Leonard became irrelevant in 88' Before the 2nd Hearns Fight.

-Mike Tyson wins the Heavyweight Title in 88'

-Tyson is convicted of **** in 92' doesnt come out till 95

-Oscar wins his 1st title in 94' against Campanella and Unifys in 95' against Ruelas.

They say Ortiz...but I really don't know man...I would have to say pacman based on his fights...but he doesn't make much PPV sales such as any DLH fight.....

Hopefully the US take to Khan a bit. He will never reach Oscar level success in the US, but I think he can be more popular than Hatton is in America.

This minus 30lbs of lard could be a big star.

I think if Berto keeps winning, he can reach the popularity of a guy like Mayweather.

Chris arreoloa is ugly. He wont take Oscar's place. Khan is a british-arab/indi... enough said. Ortiz isn't all that great so no, he wont be a big draw.

Dr. Doom a.k.a Margarito was a huge draw until the scandal.

If some young American cat comes up and wins a medal in the Olympic boxing. Then bursts on the scene in the pro's with a good undefeated streak. Add a touch of GQ. That will be the next Dela-hoya.

So as I think of who is active that fits that description... no one.

Paul Williams, Juan Manuel lopez, I really can see anyone filling in for Oscar de La Hoya. Those are two exciting boxers, but they have to show something more. Lopez is charismatic, but he doesn't know english. Paul Williams just seems too quiet. Mayweather might still sell out PPVs. Many want to see him lose so you know they'll tune in and watch especially if he fights a tough opponent, but i dont thhink mayweather will stay around for too long, if indeed he comes back.

if ortiz keeps going like he is he might. He has to lose that chicano accent tho.

Arreola= no way the guys looks like **** and he has rolls places i didnt think people could have.

Hatton and Pacman are in the last quarter of their careers so i would say no.
