What I'd like to know is whether Shugs actually wants Clottey, should he win. Would he still seek out Cotto after a loss?
Lets say clottey wins

He'd still be as big a payday after a loss? Hmm. I don't like the sound of that. I know Shugs is deservedly after the big cash, but I'd rather he fight THE best out there - and if Cotto loses to Clottey, he won't be THE best anymore in my view.Last edited by PittyPat; 04-14-2009, 06:36 PM.Comment

Sure, but Cotto won that 1st match convincingly as far as I'm concerned. I know Shugs has a thing for rematches (Forrest, Wright, Vargas), but fighting Cotto again after a loss would make him look like he's after sloppy seconds. Not that he cares, but ah well.
With that said, Cotto might just as well polish off Clottey in their match and thus warrant a rematch with Shugs (if Cotto actually wants it too, especially with Floyd hanging around). Nobody loses out either way. I'm just rooting for Clots.Last edited by PittyPat; 04-14-2009, 08:28 PM.Comment
