yea just saw those 4 sportscaster dont know anything about boxing....but they are right about oscar will be one ofthe best ambassadors for the sport now
just saw that myself and i was disgusted...i understand boxing right now is not as popular as other sports but to say oscar de la hoya is the last "great boxer" is pathetic for espn. Although i dont see a boxer being a household name like an oscar de la hoya that doesnt mean that there aren't boxers out there who are known outside of boxing...and why is kelly pavlik boxing's last hope?

They are just on DLH's sack because he is a big, big star. Legitimately, they have to know that's a line of rubbish but at the same time his career was not a joke and he did make the biggest money fights out there.
i don't agree at all with what they said... but honestly... sportscenter fans... the one's that only watch sportscenter to know what happens and don't watch any fights b/c they don't pay for HBO or SHO... seriously... what active boxer have they heard of??? ODLH and Mayweather... were the only names people could give me at work... so i think espn only said that in THAT sense... even though i don't agree with them
