The reason I didn't say Toney was that I assume everybody acknowledges his toughness. Down only 3 times in his career, 2 if you don't include the Roy Jones knockdown. Ironic that Sam Peter put him on his ass with a jab, though

ya know at one point or another every fighter has been discredited in so many different ways by posters that just need to vent about something, anything. At one time or another our current greats have all been belittled and antagonized for this or that when in reality they are the cream of our crop.

The hate that is spread by these over opinionated people will never siese for there is nobody to answer to after their misguided words are spewed.

in essence just about every fighter out there is one tough son of *****. Yes, in the ring they may have their asses handed to them one time or another by a less than stellar fighter. But believe me, them against any of you in the street would be a nightmare and a lesson learned.

I understand that I am not following the topic statement exactly as stated. I just want everyone here to know that the men are certainly tough. While a few may make careers of losing and getting ko'd you must know what grit, determination and persistance these guys go through just to even get close to getting a shot.

The general public will always have their misguided opinions and thats just the way it is. In general that public knows **** or are just spewing venom.

Underrated toughness......Roberto Duran for the no mas - Michael nunn he wasnt just a pretty fighter, he was a tough one. - And anyone thinking that James isnt tough, whatever...................Rockin'

Miguel Cotto? Sorry, but Miguel quit. He was taking knees like he was at mass with the Pope.

My lasting image of Migs is him backpedalling and kneeling down BEFORE Tony threw another punch.

Malignaggi is tough. He took a beating from Cotto. And was pissed when Buddy rescued him from the Hatton beating.
