Someone asked me about the Latimore-Spinks fight...

And here's what I told him.

It's going to look like the second Judah fight, only he's fighting a stronger, bigger guy with a harder left hand. Latimore may be called The Bull but he's no Lamotta but Spinks is no Earnie Shavers. Latimore has a good amateur background, good footwork and most importantly, he's hungry.

I don't think Spinks is hungry for anything but Wendy's at this point in his career. Spinks is open for two punches: a wide right hand like the ones that Mayorga and Gonzalez scored with, and a straight left hand. Those are Latimore's two best shots.

I think he will. He has a lot of talent, he was just overlooked because of his one KO loss to a non-puncher. He has the talent and skill to pull it off. I'd put money on the motivated young gun over the fat cat.

Gardner is considered a non-puncher? He fights in alot different weight-classes. Maybe he was just too big for Latimore @154. Saw his fight w/ Dawson. Didn't catch his fight w/ Abraham.
