Thank You Oscar! You might have been a little money greedy but you are a great businessman and a boxing LEGEND!! My family has ordered so many of your PAY-PER-VIEW events. I remember early in your career you got dropped a few times and people thought your chin was suspect and are you might have been overrated, but you clearly showed you have one of the best chins in boxing. You never ducked anybody and you were a pleasure to watch! One of my all time favorite boxers!

Oh ****.. Oscar's gone... Gutted! For 2 reasons actually... Not only will I miss him, but I had money on him carrying on.. I even wrote, "I'd put my house on it" on one thread..
Anyway, well done Oscar.. Your charisma & combinations will be sorely missed.. I know it's still in your heart, but it shows intelligence & common sense not to carry on.. Now you have to try and quell the fire by putting on some rip roaring shows for us! RESPECT

To be completely honest I never liked the guy, he is a great boxer but I just hate him as a person. But like I said, great boxer, and he gave boxing a lot.

BTW: I wanted to see him against Chavez Jr. in 154lbs. I think Oscar would have won. That was gonna be my first fight rooting for him

Not his biggest fan the last couple years but i respect him for everything he gave to this sport. You could argue he has done as much for boxing as any fighter in the history of boxing both as a fighter and now as a successful promoter! Thanks Oscar!!!

Now if only you could take Felix Trinidad, Roy Jones Jr, and Evander Holyfield with you into retirement... almost forgot Marco Antonio Barrera as well...

Thanks for all the great memories champ. You brought a young boy and his dad together in the summer of '92 and everytime after that. You showed young Hispanics that life is bigger than the neighborhood you live in and that the sky is limit when you want something bad enough. Con mucho respecto, one of your biggest fans. Enjoy it. Well done.

But i give him all the credit in the world for taking on all the big names and fighting with passion. He was a great promoter of the sport.

He deserves all his riches. The greedy bastard!
