Edwin Valero's Wife Attacked in Venezuela

Inexplicably Sunday April 12, Yennifer Carolina Valero for 22 years was shot and attacked by unidentified subject from a motorcycle outside his home in the neighborhood Picon Gabriel Gonzalez del Municipio Alberto Adriani in the state of Merida in Venezuela. She has a wound on his leg with entry hole in front leaving ankle fracture in the fibula, as well hematoma in the upper and lower lip, lacerations on chest.

Yennifer is the wife of Edwin Valero, the current WBC lightweight world champion, who took her to El Vigia II Hospital for emergency care to finally move to the clinic Vargas. Valero after his spectacular triumph over the Colombian, Pitalua, on April 4, in United States traveled to Venezuela with his family where he was received as a national hero.
Yennifer Valero has become an indirect victim of insecurity and violence in that country today. Valero has always expressed love for his country but also their fear of insecurity.

From here we pray to God for his health and send our respects to his family and Valero.

thanks. sounds like someone was trying to shoot up valero's house probably to kill him. I'm guessing some anti-chavez nut case. Not good. Glad to hear she's ok but it sounds like their lives are in danger where there at. Maybe it's time to move to the U.S.
