ESPN First Take said De La Hoya is retiring.

I was watching First Take on ESPN 2, and they said that the LA Times reported that De La Hoya will announce his retirement.

De La Hoya is not retiring, he already told me he's going up to Heavyweight to fight Vitali Klitschko.

First off don't listein to the first take if it relates to Boxing... When they asked Rafael live via phone before the fight if Cotto beat Jennings and if Pavlik beat Rubio would they fight next and you should have heard Rafael he was dumbfounded for like 5 seconds. The mainstream meadia know as much about Boxing as Pac-Man Jones knows how to stay outta trouble .

It'd be funny if he ended up fighting again after that...

I think they figure he''s retiring, which he probably is.
