Mayweather's my 2nd favorite fighter after Vitali Klitschko and I would be what most people consider a Mayweather "nuthugger" and Floyd fan since watching him in the late 90's or early 2000's. Yet, last night I watched the Paul Williams/Winky fight for the first time and this was also my first full Williams fight that I've seen, having seen only a few highlights of some of his other work like against Margarito. And I have to say if Williams fights the way he did last night, throwing 106 punches in round 12 and 1100 punches in the fight, then I'm sorry I just don't see any way Floyd can beat him. I don't care how good Mayweather is there's just no stopping the punisher right now because Floyd is just not active enough to keep up with that.
On one hand I know Quintana owned Williams and Quintana is no where near Floyd's level but on the other hand I feel that Williams seems to be on a new level himself since that fight. I would still bet on Floyd to win and pick him to win but I just don't see it happening, and for that reason I don't believe Floyd will ever fight him anyway because it doesn't make enough $$$ sense, too much risk for too little reward since Williams is not a household name. Floyd just turned 32 he's at the dusk of his career he wants only the biggest blockbuster record setting PPV's now and he can only make that against a JMM or Pacman.
Paul is just too big for Mayweather I'd pick Mayweather to win, his jab to the body will be his most important punch in this fight but still, Paul is more then capable of winning
