Did Paul Williams ever offer Cotto a fight?

LOL you're the one assuming that, not anyone else. Fact is Williams defended the belt one time, won it back, and vacated it. Dibella nor Williams went forth heavily for a fight with Cotto or any other top Welter besides Margarito. There was even a fight with Clottey in place but being HBO didn't want the fight (I wonder why) he went on to vacate his belt to fight Andy Kolle at 160 and he's been there and at 154 ever since.

So with all that said, this is all Cotto's fault?

I wondering because according to Malcolm, Floyd didn't duck Cotto because Cotto didn't offer Mayweather a fight. So I'm wondering if PWill's people offered Cotto a fight. Just trying to make sure his logic is consistant.

You can't compare the two.

ESPN (Around the Horn, Friday Night Fights, etc), Sky Sports, Telemundo, Countless websites, etc all mentioned a Cotto vs Floyd fight before Floyd even fought Hatton. It was THE marquee matchup to be made in Boxing.

I don't think Williams has even had a fight of his appear on Sportscenter's highlight reels as of yet.

From what i understand, PWill and his Team offered Top Rank a fight with Cotto, but Arum refused to do business with PWill's manager/attorney(whatever the *** he is) Al Haymon after some incident that happened during and after the Marg/PWill fight....thats why the fight hasnt happened
