HBO Thrilla Review: Frazier Is The Greatest, Not Ali

Just finished watching for the second time HBO's Thrilla In Manila docu
telling the story in Joe Frazier's perspective.
Some revealing highlights:
1. Ali belittled and assassinated Frazier's character in ways unimaginable.
It gives me an impression that the docu also seemed to tell that Ali feared
Frazier so much that he tries to break his spirit using dirty pre-game tactics.
2. Joe Frazier was a good and respectful person undeserving of Ali's dirty
out-of-the-ring uncalled for remarks.
3. Joe Frazier is the real winner of the Thrilla In Manila when during the break
before the last and final 15th round, Ali wanted to quit. On the other corner,
Frazier's trainer Eddie Futch (Roach's mentor) beat Ali's quitting by some
seconds when he decided to throw in the towel for Frazier despite Joe's
protestations. Joe's eyes are almost shut that he couldnt see anymore.
4. Nobody knew but him and his trainer Futch that Joe has one ***********al
eye he got from an accident in the 60's. His only good eye was almost
completely shut in the Thrilla's 15th round that he couldnt see Ali's punches.
Ali was exhausted while Frazier is still strong but just couldnt see.
5. Joe Frazier is sending messages that Ali's sickness (Parkinsons) and sufferings
now was caused by him.
The docu was done perfectly and the script was done in a suspenseful way.
I was hooked from the start to finish. A rating of perfect 10!!!
The Filipinos booed Muhammad Ali during his introduction to his surprise.
Most Filipinos cheered for the underdog who was maligned and disrespected.
The HBO production tells us that the greatest fighter of all time is not Muhammad
Ali but the gentleman Joe Frazier. Ali is all talk and a big mouth and a dirty tactician
outside the ring.
And I agree.
Joe Frazier is greater than Muhammad Ali.
I can now see Ali in the faces of Floyd Mayweather Jr and his father Floyd Sr.
They say theyre the greatest.
But history will be the final judge.
God bless Joe Frazier - the greatest!
