He does talk a lot of **** and doesn't fully back it up..only time i reme,ber him backing up his shi-talking 100% was against Gatti..Pre-fight hype: Mayweather: "I'm gonna knock him out in 6 rounds, If you want money bet on that"..Gatti didn't come out for the 7th round...

I thought on the 24/7 things half the time he was being a ****head and half the time he was trying to get people to like him.

His little ass is insane. Sometimes his **** talkin is whaaack, but the man is a monster and there are very few people out there I'd pick to beat him. I defended him with the whole not fighting every welterweight. Much like the fact that nobody blamed Leonard or Jones for not fighting everyone in their highest weight class, Mayweather just went that high for a few specific marquee names in a division he never belonged in to get some money and some amazing accomplishments on his record, but now instead of fighting Williams or Clottey, he's trying to get Marquez to come up to 147... Hrmmm either go back down to 140, or admit you've grown into a 147 lber and fight someone with a pulse at that weight..

Other than that his fights are fun to watch, and as annoying as he can be he's pretty entertaining when his crackheaded ass is being ridiculous for the cameras.

He could,ve been great to watch, but boxing isn't all show. Not always in boxing the fighter with the best technic wins, but the one that has the ability to beat the other.
They're enough fighters that can get to Mayweather and stop him from running. All it takes is one punch and the fighter can start to slow down.

On the other hand boxing has never been entertaing watching guys that run around all the time. Even the great ones at some point in their careers took the time to **** with the best of them. Muhammad Ali, Oscar de La Hoya,etc.

So for people who follow Floyd they might find it attractive that he can escape a fight without being hurt, but boxing fans want to see something more than just a guy back peddling or even holding on to another fighter for pure survival. There are fighters going through wars while Mayweather awaits who he should fight. He should've be making his own legacy and not watching other fighters continue building their own.
