how do you think williams can improve his image. .in order to make the casual fans.. like him or wanting to see him win/loose whatever..

you know what he has to do, he needs to fight with some1 that is not 8"-10"
shorter than him or has 12"inch shorter wingspan. he needs to fight in the 154-160 divisions I bet if he beat a couple of GOOD fighters up there he will get recognition and people will pay to see that not a mismatch of a fight like this past saturday. jmo

You know I don't have a answer to that question. Personally I don't think anything is wrong with his image, he seems like a good kid, he always shows respect to the other fighters, he takes on all challengers, has a massive workrate so his fights are never boring. I just don't understand why he doesn't have the fan base that he should. It might be that he came out of nowhere from a little town in s. Carolina and people just have to get used to him or they think he's a hype job. Or maybe it's something that some people have and others don't. I guess he's just going to have to keep doing what he's doing to capture fans imagination.

in his first fight with quintana.. he did a lot of charity here.. and got a nice exposure.. at least in puerto rico everybody knows him! and knows what a threat he represents to anybody!!

Im with you... that its hard to figure out.. whats missing? but .. then... i think that had 2 do with his management.. is just a poor one..


can you imagine the fanbase williams would had if he was with TOP RANK for example.. he wouldnt be the most feared man.. he would be GOD by now.!!!

in one of my early post i stated how i missed that williams didnt go for the kill on winky!!

ppl were saying that nobody is koing winky! but i mean. .damn. .the guy was there for 12 rounds just receiving punches...

williams landed about 550 more punches than him!! and think.. that he should had went fulllllllllllll speed!! i know that it was going to be risky... but trust me... the band wagon would have been full already.. if he koed or tkoed winky...

I think he had the opportunity to tkoed winky in the last few rounds....that would have been something special!!

yup.... is not that winky was a mismatch.. but just a bad matchup... winky style was a perfect one for paul.. whos a non stop punching machine..
