Blacks were fighting like crazy to gain equality and being called uncle tom, house ****** and ''the enemy'' by your own people .. Damn.. You don't think Ali comes of as a jerk by saying that to a friend?
Bottom line is they are just words to promote the fight. What about the abuse Ali took from the press and from 99% of people in that decade because he refused to go to Vietnam? He was exiled from boxing for 3 years, 3 years in his PRIME.

Don't talk about dissrespect because no one got more dissrespected than Ali. He said what he said, then apologized like a man and had nothing but compliments to say about frazier......is that not enough? When a man humbles himself and says "I'm sorry" you as a man should accept it and move on.

I didn't watch the Doc, but i know bout the thrilla. That fight is a part of Filipino History. LoL.

ALI is still dope, but i can see why hella people hate on him.

Round 2 of that fight was ridiculous.

It's not just about the Thrilla in Manilla, it's about the way Ali and Frazier were portrayed in this documentary.

So if you didn't SEE this documentary, how can you possibly have an intelligent analysis of it?

Next time run it by me first though.......lol

HA!! Well, this is where the communications breaks down. I wasn't talkin about how their characters were portrayed...THAT i'd want to see. I was talkin about the fight. The

But i know about the fight itself. I don't remember ever commenting on the doc itself mom, so technically i was in bounds for the sake of conversation.

I'll remember to run it by the committee next time. HA HA HA!!

Ali was a cool guy but if I was Frazier, I'd be pissed at him too for calling me a gorilla and an uncle tom, that goes beyond just selling the fight. You're insulting the man at that point.

              My thoughts exactly.

Even though he did apologise, there's a difference between selling a fight and crossing that line to getting personal.

It doesn't however, stop the fact that Ali is my favourite boxer of all time.

One thing this documentary didn't change for me was how much I hate Ferdie Pacheco. What an arrogant ****sucker.

I thought this was well done, I do however find it difficult justifying either ones actions.
Between the things Ali said in the heat of the moment and what Frazier says now they somewhat cancel eachother out for me. Frazier must feel really tormented to be able to look at Ali and say, "I did that to him". Good documantary though

how is comparing bernard throwing down the PR flag even being compared to what ali said to frazier. i agree ali is still great and all bla bla. but the things he said to jo frazier were horrible and ended up putting his family in danger. i dont understand how you can compare throwing down a flag to calling someone uncle tom and a gorilla and all that was said...i mean i do agree frazier should let it go. ali never personally apologized to frazier after the fight.

i love both fighters but it is good to see a documentary from fraziers point of view and give him some light to the public
