Anyway, Hatton downplayed the welts by saying that they (the blackeyes) just show how intense his sparring sessions are.
The last time I saw a boxer preparing for a major bout with black eye from sparring, was Oscar Dela Hoya. He was preparing then for Manny Pacquiao for the Dec. 6th 2008 fight we all know our Pacman won.

We shall know the reason on the next episode of HBO 24/7, hopefully. It doesn`t heal that quick.

Hatton bruises easily. I wouldn't read to much into it.

at least hatton has got a tough sparmate, all of pacmans sparring partners would get KTFO if you sneezed in there direction!

He'd been having a tough workout against 5 sparring partners last week. One of them we know was a light middleweight with good speed and power. Of course he's gonna get ****** up a bit. But he doesn't look too bad:

Markings like that are probably to be expected sparring against bigger guys with power..
