Winky isn't a power puncher while Paul Williams punches in bunches and from all different angles. I didn't expect Williams to knock Wright out but he won the fight by outworking Winky. It was still a decent effort by Winky. A lot of boxers would have been hit a lot more than Winky had they fought Williams.

Winky fought Solimon who also threw 1000+ punches and still won that fight, it was ugly but winky won rather easy.

So in my prediction I said volume wouldnt bother winky. But then again I didnt expect 1000 punches from Williams. Williams also kept he distance and DID use his reach. I dont understand people saying he dont use his reach cause he loops his shots, he threw from just out of winkys reach all night. That dude is crazy, looks like a spider or something with those long arms all over the place.

Winky just couldnt dictate the fight, Williams didnt show any respect for Winkys stiff jab, which previous opponents did. Williams also was better defensively than I thought and slipped a lot of winkys shots. Winky actually outlanded Solimon in total punches even though he threw half of what Solimon did. Winky wasnt able to do the same with PW.

I think Winky lost some speed but he was in good shape otherwise and not completely shot as some thought would happen. He did show good mental strength and focus by staying in the fight all 12 and maintaining a 22-23% connect rate on williams 1000 punches. Blocking or avoiding 800 punches would make most people go crazy.
