It's always sad when someone dies young.
To hell with anyone who says it's gay to feel sad for someone who dies young.
I didn't know the guy, and never heard of him prior to tonight.
It's sad he died so young.
But from the pictures I saw, it looked like he really enjoyed his time here. And that the fighters he worked with really enjoyed it also.

I knew it was bad when, Buffer got choked up but was able to regain his composure.
I did get a little misty eyed, but what sent me over into tears was Lampley's parting words.
"Goodnight Arthur Curry... and goodnight to all of you."
Along with the complete silence of his pictures and the HBO logo.Comment

That was a odd HBO broadcast. I was watching it with a bunch of people who really dont follow boxing. So it starts and all the girls couldnt get over Chris Arreola. They couldnt get over how ugly he was and laughed on and on. Then it just got kinda weird. Lampley was a wet eyed babbling brook the whole night. They asked how old that man was and why it took him so long to talk. (Larry Merchant
). Then the awkward ring card girl commentating. Then at the very end, they all just looked at me like WTF. That was a circus.
Inside I was dying. I was thinking, you should see boxingscene.
