Im black so I'll never fully understand this rivalry, but from how it looks both sides take it to the heart when their man takes the L. Ima fan of rican, and mexican fighters but it seems like if your mexican and like a guy from PR, and vice versa u a traitor....So what I wanna kno is whats the difference when both guys are getting thier faces beat in??? And who decided that the ricans are the boxers, and the mexican are the brawlers

because the people feel attach to these fighters.they come from a place they come from, so when someone is slighted they see it as a personal attack. -
i used to ask da same question when i was shorter but then my dad introduced me to Chavez, Barrera, Morales, and young De La Hoya... I fell in love with they style. They have a technical side but once a good punch connects on them all hell breaks loose.
I have no comment on the Puerto Ricans the only one I like is Cotto. trinidad is trash, and dat young Lopez look like he gon make it big soon.Comment

In One word....PRIDE! Not for money. When you got someone fighting for money and the other for pride, its not as fun...But when both fight for Pride it becomes a Rivalry of its own kind.Comment
